Teaching Artists are responsible for instructing students at NorCal SOTA and in our partner schools on their subject of expertise. The amount of subjects and time committed to teaching is dependent on the applicant. A creative staff member may also have the opportunity to direct, stage manage, work on new projects, etc.

Applicants MUST:

  • Have previous experience working with students/in education
  • Have experience with Zoom and/or other virtual teaching platforms
  • Be flexible and open in developing lesson plans
  • Be willing to receive training/feedback

We highly encourage applications from individuals who are:

  • Solution-oriented collaborators
  • Interested in many aspects of theatre
  • Passionate about encouraging and inspiring young artists
