Fall 2022 CLASSES:

All the World's a Stage: 1st - 3rd graders  

Saturdays, 9 am - 10:15 am  |  September 24 - November 12, 2022

Class Description: This class is for young actors who want to dip their toes in the water and for those who have been acting for a while. Actors will experience the joy of delving into a character with body, voice, and emotions! Students will learn to tell a story with monologue and song. Participation in acting exercises and improvisation games in a nurturing, creative environment will enable students to step outside of their comfort zones and express themselves. Students will learn how to audition for stage and screen.

Tuition: $160

Acting & Improvisation: Teen Class

Saturdays, 12:30 pm - 2 pm  |  September 24 - November 12, 2022

Class Description:  Whether you are looking to become a professional actor or just to become more comfortable presenting in public, this course will give you the confidence and skills to make you a success in front of an audience! Taught by professional teaching artists from the NorCal School of the Arts faculty, this class is designed for students of any personality and experience level. Students will learn voice and speech techniques as well as participate in fun improvisational exercises and games. Each student will learn how to tackle a monologue, as well as develop acting fundamentals such as stage directions, script analysis, and advanced auditioning techniques. The course will culminate in a final performance for family and friends.

CAMPS

Enjoy a week of creativity & fun with professional teaching artists! Learn theatre performance skills while making lifelong friends. Classes include drama, dance, singing, improv, poetry, & more! TV & Film classes offered to students from 4th grade and up. Before & aftercare options from 8-9 am and 5-5:30 pm. Each week culminates in a final presentation for parents and siblings.

SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS CAMP


Who: All students in 1ST - 8TH GRADE (Summer camp groups are divided into age groups: 1st-3rd, 3rd/4th-5th and 6th-8th depending on the number registered in each age group)

Grades eligible at camp are those campers that will be 1st-8th grade in the FALL. Please look at our Teen Acting intensive for all high schoolers (scroll down)

When: 6/20/22 - 8/19/22, 9 AM to 5 PM with before and after care offered separately from 8am-9am and 5-5:30pm

Where: 803 Vallejo Way Sacramento, California 95818 (the Land Park area)

Tuition: $300.00 for each one-week session

Summer camp will take place live and in-person.  Campers will enjoy a week of creativity and fun as they engage in drama, dance, singing, improvisation, poetry, and more! Parents, enjoy the summer sun while your child is immersed in a creative, memorable wonderland with the talented NorCal School of the Arts staff!

The Summer Camp runs Monday Friday from 9 am to 5 pm with before and aftercare options from 8 to 9 am and 5 to 5:30 pm. Contact us at info@norcalsota.org for more information.
